Mardi Gras traces it’s origins to 1699. Pierre LeMoyne arrival was greeted with celebration on the banks of the Mississippi River. The only downside in this otherwise wonderful city is the unpredictable temperature like scorching summers and hurricanes which are however outweighed by the positive and vibrant energy of the city.

Le Pavilion is one of the better hotels in town. Though not in the French Quarter, it is located close to it and recreates the old French ambience beginning from the lobby to the rooms. The staff is very pally here. The rooms are well furnished with nice bathrooms. The stocked minibars within the rooms however are on the expensive side. Restaurant serves reasonable food. The pool on the roof is clean and well taken care of.

The drink and relaxation by the poolside was awesome. It is also located close to the Bourbon Street, one the most happening places in New Orleans.
