New Orleans events
New Orleans events attract lot of attention and many visitors to the city come to witness the events. There are different types of events that go on in the city. There is always some activity going on in this city from Mardi Gras to JazzFest to the endless number of celebrations going on.
In addition, New Orleans is home to New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Hornets participating in a number of sporting activities and a number of local and national sporting events taking place at the Louisiana Superdome and New Orleans Arena.
There are other events like the French Market Tomato festival in the month of June, and Essence Music Festival in July in the city calendar. On the 4th of July there will be celebration and activities for the entire family and the activities will end with a magnificent fireworks show over the Mississippi River. The French Quarter is uniquely New Orleans and you’ll find it very appealing, especially in the morning. You must spend a night there to see the place in all its splendor. The St. Charles Street Car is a streetcar and not a trolley. This is a moving National Historic Landmark. The owner of Faulkner House Books has turned his avocation into a vocation and this warm and inviting bookshop is located in the French Quarter townhouse in which Faulkner lived and wrote his first novel. This place is a must for all book lovers. You can admire the Mississippi from its banks or from atop the buildings or the best thing is for you to take a ride in the mighty river.
